FAQ's
- How many nights a week do you practice? The practice is one night a week. But for the first two weeks there will be two practices a night.
- What do kids need to play soccer? Kids will need shin guards, black soccer socks, soccer cleats (no metal cleats but you can have tennis shoes), black shorts, and a soccer ball to practice with at home.
- What ball size ball will you need? If you are a U7 or U8 you will want a size 3 soccer ball. If you are a U9-U12 you will want a size 4 soccer ball. If you are a U14 you will need a size 5 soccer ball.
- Do we travel? Yes you will travel half of your games. So half will be in Kewaskum and the other half will be in the surrounding areas.
- How early should we be at the games? You should ask your coach what time he or she wants you there and be on the field by that time.
- What should you do if you get hurt or do not feel good? You should call your coach and inform him. If this happens during a game take a knee or raise your hand high in the air.
- What are my volunteer opportunities? Coaching, field painting, concessions, ball kids for high school games, join the KYSO board, Public Relations campaign and other various duties.
- How can I contribute or sponsor KYSO? You can send donations to KYSO P.O. Box 322 Kewaskum, WI 53040. We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
- When are the signups for KYSO? Fall is May and June, spring is December and January
- How do I become an official? Contact the referee coordinator listed under the board members link.
- What do I do if I'm interested in coaching? Contact the president listed under the board members link?
- What do we do in bad weather? Check your email to see if game has been cancelled or call your coach.
- What are the participation fees for KYSO? Refer to the registration form link. The fees are higher for the older groups because additional referees and expenses are needed for those levels.
- What do the fee's cover? Fee's cover registration for both fall and spring and one jersey.
- What position will my child play? They will play multiple positions at each game.
- What if my child wants to play in the fall or spring only? The fee is the same.
