Dreamweaver

This was a site I created for a friend, Daniel the Painter – although it is not a live web site (his wife still is not convinced that he needs to have a site), it is based upon the business card that I created for him, and he thought it would be cool if the business card could be incorporated into a web site. I used Photoshop to create most of the site, and after saving images for web and devices, I did the coding in Dreamweaver CS5. Having used Dreamweaver 4.0 and MS Expression Web, the interface was fairly easy to understand, and did not take me long to learn. What really intrigued me was using divs instead of tables to insert roll over buttons, as I was not quite sure as to whether or not using divs was going to work. I was pleasantly surprised that inserting the images in to the div worked out extremely well, and got me away from having to code a table. As I needed to have an absolute div inside of another div, I soon discovered that text was not wrapping the way I wanted, so I had to go back into Photoshop, and slice part of the image into two images and drop them into divs to achieve the effect that I wanted, using CSS to do so.
